How the Rise of Agentic AI Will Change App Development and Growth Over the Next 12 Months

This case study is the practical proof of what we described there — AI-augmented development compressing a 6-to-12-month build into under 60 days.

Key Results

  • Idea to Google Play in < 60 days
  • 7 production modules shipped in a single sprint
  • 8 languages supported at launch
  • Scope equivalent to 4 standalone applications
  • Live at groundpass.treyee.io

Treyee Talent places AI-augmented senior engineers directly into your product team — from first conversation to production in weeks.

The Opportunity

York Builders — a Dallas-based construction and real estate firm with deep DFW ties and government contract experience — identified a gap in the FIFA World Cup 2026 ecosystem: hundreds of thousands of international visitors would arrive in Dallas with no purpose-built navigation tool designed for the tournament.

Getting from hotels to Fan Villages, finding the right transit line, locating fan zones by nationality — none of the existing map apps addressed this with the specificity the event required.

They brought the idea to Treyee.

The Challenge

Three constraints defined the project from day one.

No internal engineering team — York Builders had the vision and the event relationships, but no product team to execute it.

Complex technical scope — multimodal routing, 8 languages, real-time event management, a social fan layer, admin portal, and a built-in advertising layer — a scope broad enough to represent four distinct standalone applications.

A live event deadline — the FIFA World Cup 2026 was the hard launch window. There was no moving the date.

AI-Augmented Mobile App Development: What We Delivered

Treyee Talent placed AI-augmented senior engineers into the project from the first week. The model: experienced engineers who move fast, make architecture decisions independently, and ship production systems — not consultants who deliver recommendations.

The combination of raw engineering depth, AI-augmented development velocity, and Treyee Creative's design execution produced a product that would normally require a fully staffed team and a 6-to-12-month timeline.

Ground Pass went from first conversation to Google Play in under 60 days.

7 Production Modules: What We Built

Seven production modules shipped in a single sprint. The scope is significant: these seven modules could be deployed independently as four distinct applications — a map platform, a transit and routing tool, a fan social network, and an event operations dashboard.

  • Map + Layers Engine — Toggleable event pins, Fan Villages, transit routes, restrooms, food vendors, and merchandise locations in real time
  • Multi-Modal Routing — Walking, transit, rideshare (Uber and Lyft deep-linked with destination pre-filled), scooter, and ADA accessibility routes
  • Event & Route Management — Purpose-built admin portal with effective-date scheduling, closure toggles, and official route management
  • Fan Community Layer — Nationality and team profiles, fan cluster maps, friend groups with live location sharing, and venue check-ins
  • 8-Language Localization — Auto-detected on arrival with manual override, supporting German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Chinese
  • Strategic Ad Layer — Sponsored pins, featured zones, and event cards with frequency controls to keep the map clean
  • Push Alerts — Route and zone subscriptions with transit-style service notifications

Impressed since the beginning with the development and velocity. Treyee's performance and technical capabilities has been nothing short of amazing!

Everything you need to know about building with Treyee Talent

Ground Pass is the benchmark: a 7-module, multilingual, multimodal production application delivered from first conversation to Google Play in under 60 days. The timeline depends on scope, but AI-augmented development with Treyee Talent compresses traditional 6-to-12-month builds into weeks — not because we cut corners, but because senior engineers and AI tooling operate in parallel from day one.
